Rarest Rabbit

This is the Sumatran Striped Rabbit, only recently photographed for the first time back in 2007. This rabbit is so rare, that it has only been sighted three times since 1972 and only photographed in these following pictures! It can only be found in the Barisan Mountains in western Sumatra, Indonesia.

Looks like something from a fantasy world!

This discovery is amazing! It's proof that we still have millions of species to confirm and document, unknown if they actually exist of not. It is also strong evidence that many species are becoming more rare due to human deforestation and lack of effort to conserve the environment. We cannot lose these beautiful creatures, there are many critically endangered species we still have yet to discover! It's cousin, the Annamite Striped Rabbit was only discovered in 2008 in Vietnam!
