FUN FUN FUN State Fair

Last week's (I cannot believe it was last week!) state fair was truly amazing.
First of all,
it was HUGE-with lots and lots of attraction things to look at-
arts, farm animals, rides, carnival games, foods, concerts, and many many more!

(AS you can see below) it really was fun to explore different things like:

a. touch goat

b. eat aligator on a stick

c. watch people getting hypnosis

it was real fun and interesting!
all of those above are things i haven't experience before
(touching goat was somewhat new)

i liked it!

so i googled some information about state fair-
and found out that state fair was created by California legislature to promote CA's reputation for farming and industry, and actually was first held at San Francisco in 1854. Through times- it moved to different areas (due to difficult travel times) to Sacramento, Stockton, San Jose, Marysville, and back to Sacramaneto 1859.
During and after WWII the fair ground was occupied by the Army and wasn't really used for fair purpose-CA highway patrol also used the site for unofficial "training" purpose.

After state bought large 350 acres of land near downtown Sacramento- governor Ronald Reagan at 1968 re-started "Cal-Expo" state fair.

I truly enjoyed the experience,
it reminded me of so many things I have not discovered in CA.

Too bad Kree had to drive all the way back and force-
I kind of wish I could help him driving.

:(
sort of.
