Today when I went to my local Borders in Sacramento, I found this secret! It was wrinkled between the pages of one of Frank Warren's A Lifetime of Secrets books, an anonymous note from a mysterious confessor. Of course I instantly thought, "who wrote this?" How could it be an adult if they said they are scared to grow up? From what the secret reveals, the person cannot be an older child because the secret says, "you made a time line of how long my childhood was," implying that his/her childhood has passed. Did this person mean - scared to grow older? I think it's a teenager.
For those that don't know, Frank Warren started an art project known as PostSecrets back in 2005, in which anonymous people would mail him homemade postcards with a secret of theirs. It hit enough communal attention, that to this day, he has published 5 books featuring the best I'm guessing. Here is a link to his Blog. The cards are quite clever and humorous and sad and pathetic. I read them a lot. Here's some inspirations from this random discovery:
1) From the secret, create a piece of artwork
2) Mail my own secret postcard to Frank Warren & have it displayed on his Blog
3) Is this the origins of Peter Pan?
I'm going out for 10 days, going on a cruise to Alaska with my family. Perhaps Sue will step in during then.
